I live in a small little town by the name of Rosamond that sits about 50 miles north of Los Angeles County. I moved here from Compton, California to get my young family away from the ghetto that is Compton. A lot of people don’t realize how dangerous it is in Compton but let me tell you it can get pretty scary out there…
Compton is not the type of place where you want to go out at night because of who you might run in to. It’s not the type of place where you let your kids out at night to play. It’s the type of place where if your wife says I’m going to run to the store to pick up some milk you shoudl probably go with her just in case.
I’m very happy to be living out here in Rosamond despite my horrible commute. My family is safe and it was really wonderful seeing my son run around in the cul-de-sac yesterday… Can’t do that in Compton!
